Autumn/ Winter 2011 Trend

Women’s Autumn/Winter trends ’10/’11- autumn leaves and the bigger the better

Colours are neutral with a touch of bold colour mixing this season. Think autumnal leaves added to blacks and navies. Mix your fiery oranges with navy or your rusty browns with camel colours. It’s all about these fabulous colours teamed with each other to create an on trend look.

Use fabric and structured materials to give you that body that you want. Use pleated tops to create a fuller bust and add a belt to give you a nipped in waist. Think... if you haven’t got it - fake it! Team textures with simple styles and wear embellishments, layers, fur and jewels to give an ultra on trend look. Oh, and of course, don’t forget to add a dash of leopard print for good measure.

Textures are big. Whether its sheepskin, faux fur, or suede, team it with any outfit and you will not only feel snug but look on trend at the same time. What more could you want? Chunky knits are a must have, think about those big cardigans and jumpers your Grandmother used to wear and that you vowed you would never be seen dead in... yes those! Wear simple neutral coloured knits, navy camel, grey, brown or black and add a skinny waist belt to it to give you shape. The bigger the better with these knits. Woolly tights and knee high socks, are a must have think layering under your boots to give more textures to our outfits.

Block heel and square toe shoes are a must have courts and brogues are very big. With big buckles and beautiful bows galore, add a touch of prettiness to your outfit with the detailing on your shoes. Fur and sheepskin lined boots whether knee high calf high or ankle high are a must have and can be of any style, so be daring and teamed with layered knee high socks and chunky knit tights, they look great.

Now to the accessories... With handbags, forget colour, tassels or quilting, this season is all about simple designs. Size isn’t important but whether its big or small, carry it with a short strap, in your hand or hooked over your forearm. Think briefcase design but being able to fit more in it!

Festival Season

Posted By: Fyfo on 18 July 2011

Well... Summer is here and we’ve already seen some great music festivals, but there are still lots to come. So, if you’re hitting up Global gathering, TribFest, V Festival, Reading/Leeds festival, Creamfields, Bestival or any other summer music festivals this year then check out this style guide to festival fashion for guys and girls in 2011.

There’s a lot to think about when preparing and packing for festivals. So we thought we’d help you out with a few of the most important practical and fashion items for your festival packing!

The Top 5 practical/essential items

1. Tent (this needs to be waterproof - especially for UK festivals!!)

2. Sleeping bag (this also could do with being waterproof, just in case your tent turns out to not be waterproof!)

3. Toilet roll (you know that by lunch time on the first day there will be no toilet roll in the porta-loos so take your own!)

4. Hand gel/sanitizer (see toilet roll note!)

5. A camera to capture the best moments of the festival - you never know you might be able to sneak into V.I.P and get some snaps with the celebs!

The Top 5 girls fashion items

1. Wellies

Whether you have Hunter or Joules, or a funky patterned pair, Wellies are a festival essential.

Here at FYFO we have an extensive range of Hunter Wellies for men, women and children.

Our Women’s Hunter Wellies start at £61.99, so why not take a look at our range.

Many of the celeb festival goers are seen wearing Hunter Wellies, from Kate Moss to Girls Aloud’s Nicola Roberts and Kelly Osborne

2. Sunglasses

Think big, bold, colourful and quirky. Sunglasses are a must have for festivals if not for use in the sunny weather, then to hide your tired eyes in the last few days of the festival! There are a huge range of sunglasses available online and in the shops for reasonable prices and you can find something to suit your style. Even the celebs are loving them from bright colours to funky shapes, there is something for everyone.

Isla Fisher has been seen wearing these large bright blue sunnies.

3. Tribal print

Tribal print is a massive trend this year and can easily be worn at festivals.

Here at FYFO we have a huge range of tribal print clothes perfect for a range of different occasions from beach wear to nights out and of course, festivals!! The bright, bold, summery prints are perfect teamed with a headband and statement sunglasses.

4. Flowers

Whether you wear them in your hair, on a headband, or you wear floral print clothes, floral designs are not only a summer fashion must have, but they are also a great festival fashion item.

Why not use the floral trend in all areas of your outfit. For example, this Irregular Choice Abigails party shoulder bag  is a great festival bag, great for storing your essentials like your camera, phone, purse, hand sanitiser and your festival guide.

5. Backpacks and bags

So you have all of your outfits ready and you are prepared to party at the festival... Don’t let your look be ruined before you even arrive by your baggage being so heavy and difficult to carry that you look dishevelled before the festival even begins. You are going to need to carry all of your belongings across no doubt, the whole campsite, so why not make it easy for yourself and get a wheely bag so that you can look effortless in transporting your stuff across the fields.
